 Scientists from the Poznan University of Technology were among the best researchers in the world in the ranking presented by the [Research.com](http://research.com/) academic platform. As a result, the Poznan University of Technology was classified in five disciplines, including the first place in the national ranking in the categories: Computer Science and Materials Science.

In the current edition of the list, which is presented gradually for individual disciplines, the list of the best scientists in the world includes:

in the Computer Science category

- prof. Roman Słowiński (ranking 1st in Poland)
- prof. Jacek Blazewicz (7th in Poland)
- prof. Jerzy Stefanowski (8th in Poland)
- prof. Gerhard-Wilhelm Weber (11th place in Poland)

in the Electronics and Electrical Engineering category:

- prof. Jerzy Tyszer (6th place in Poland)

in the Engineering and Technology category:

- prof. Jan Węglarz (10th place in Poland)

in the Mathematics category:

- prof. Gerhard-Wilhelm Weber (5th place in Poland)

in the Materials Science category:

- prof. François Béguin (ranking 1st in Poland)
- prof. Elżbieta Frąckowiak (3rd place in Poland)
- prof. Teofil Jesionowski (15th in Poland)
